Challenge
With increasing regulatory scrutiny and rising expectations from customers and investors, manufacturers are under pressure to demonstrate that their greenhouse gas (GHG) disclosures are accurate, compliant, and audit-ready. Accredo Packaging required an independent, third-party review of its 2024 Scope 1–3 GHG assessment to validate data integrity, confirm alignment with the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064-3, and strengthen confidence in its carbon reporting.
Results
PNZ Advisory’s limited assurance review confirmed that Accredo Packaging’s GHG assessment was robust, compliant with leading international standards, and free from material misstatement. The engagement strengthened audit-readiness, improved data traceability, and reinforced the credibility of Accredo’s emissions disclosures—supporting regulatory compliance and enhancing stakeholder trust.

Accredo Packaging
Accredo Packaging is a U.S.-based manufacturing business specialising in flexible packaging solutions. As part of its sustainability strategy, Accredo undertakes annual measurement and reporting of its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3, supporting transparency with customers, investors, and wider stakeholders.
The Challenge
Accredo Packaging operates in a sector facing increasing scrutiny from regulators, customers, and investors around the accuracy and credibility of greenhouse gas (GHG) disclosures. While Accredo had completed a comprehensive Scope 1–3 GHG assessment for 2024, the business required independent third-party assurance to validate data completeness, methodological alignment, and reporting boundaries.
The objective was to confirm compliance with the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064-3, while strengthening internal controls and preparing the organisation for future audit and disclosure requirements.
The Solution
Accredo Packaging engaged PNZ Advisory to perform an independent limited assurance review of its 2024 GHG inventory, reported through the Greenly platform.
PNZ Advisory conducted a structured, ISO 14064-3-aligned assurance engagement, including a detailed review of organisational and operational boundaries, activity data and evidence, emission factor selection, and calculation methodologies. An 80/20 materiality approach was applied to prioritise the most significant emission sources, ensuring the review focused on areas of highest risk and impact.
Throughout the engagement, PNZ Advisory worked closely with Accredo’s sustainability team to provide clear findings, practical recommendations, and transparent documentation to support audit-ready reporting.
The Results
PNZ Advisory’s limited assurance review confirmed that Accredo Packaging’s 2024 GHG assessment was free from material misstatement and aligned with leading international standards. No material discrepancies were identified across Scope 1, Scope 2, or the reviewed Scope 3 categories.
In addition to the assurance conclusion, PNZ Advisory delivered targeted recommendations to enhance data traceability, evidence management, and methodological clarity in future reporting cycles. As a result, Accredo is now better positioned to meet evolving regulatory requirements, respond confidently to customer and investor scrutiny, and demonstrate the integrity of its emissions disclosures.
